Senior Software Engineer Opening

You will be a lead developer responsible for the development of new software products and enhancements to existing products. You should excel in working with large-scale applications and frameworks and have outstanding communication and leadership skills. 


Responsibilities
-Maintain a profound and acute understanding of all TransNexus patents to include utility of operation and technical means necessary to manifest appropriate Technology Readiness Level (TRL) of the modules according to USGOV milestones and delivery schedules
-Assess existing USGOV information technology (IT) operating systems to design and propose compatible technical approaches to manifest the TransNexus Modules
-Lead a team of developers in sprints to produce specific deliverables according to milestones and metrics within budget parameters
-Brief proposed technical approaches at the operational and design levels to requirement owners and subject matter experts – tailoring delivery depending on the audience
-Engage in iterative conversations with USGOV operational and technical experts to optimize TransNexus Modules in the customer information/data technology infrastructure
-Maintain technical foresight from inception of project design through immersion in operational environment to ensure fidelity to all USGOV technical requirements (i.e. cyber security, Authority to Operate (ATO) requisites, Application Programming Interface (API), FedRAMP, etc.)

-Ensure that all proposed designs and implementations integrate the most current system architecture techniques with information technology practices through full cycle software development
-Incorporate technical approaches that align with specific USGOV customers to include Department of Defense, intelligence community, and civilian federal agencies
-Refine user interface experience according to specific USGOV and commercial sector customers
-Ensure that TransNexus Modules maintain ability to interface with private commercial platforms to maintain protection of personally identifiable information (PII) and classified intelligence
-Prepare design plans and written analyses, unit, test scripts and documentation
-Perform quality control of processes and products produced
-Write, interpret and analyze technical documentation related to information technology
-Interpret and analyze end user identified bugs
-Provide recommended software development enhancements or changes in support of existing and projected organizational mission requirements
-Analyze program data, enable computer models that improve transaction tracking platforms, and operation network flows
-Develop protocol to ensure that systems maintain integrity of data protection and analytics to include penetrability, false positives and false negatives, and spillage protection
-Work directly with company leadership to define other software and technology requirements
-Lead on operational and technical projects including oversight of a team of Data Engineers, Software Developers, and UI/UX/Front-End Developers as requested by Manager
-Identify gaps in team technical expertise and support Manager in recruitment of appropriate talent

-Software development to TRL9 in USGOV classified environment with objective milestones and deliverables
-Cross-domain solutions
-SQL and non-SQL databases
-Distributed architectures
-Web-based technologies
-Cloud technologies
-User and web-based interfaces
-Software design/implementation tools
-Scripting languages such as Perl, Python and JavaScript
-DevOps technologies such as Puppet, Chef, and Docker
-System administration of Linux/Unix systems, database administration (particularly Oracle, PostgreSQL, or MongoDB)
-Agile software methodologies such as Scrum and Kanban
-SigniBicant team management experience

Preferred Education:
-Bachelor's degree in Computer Science (or related field)
-Masters or Doctorate in related body of knowledge

USGOV Clearance:
-Have and maintain a TS/SCI security clearance and be able to successfully undergo a polygraph examination as determined by USGOV customer needs
