Mr. Rodriguera brings significant leadership experience in finance, product, strategy, and managing cross-functional teams with over 15 years of extensive experience in solving data driven challenges in the commercial and government sectors. As Special Advisor (GS-15) to the Under Secretary for Financial Intelligence at the U.S. Department of the Treasury, he supported the Under Secretary on cross-functional, multidisciplinary teams to implement strategies to better protect U.S. financial systems through legal and regulatory efforts (BSA/PATRIOT Act). He coordinated across internal departmental offices to track enforcement actions, engaged with other departments, federal agencies and external parties on requests from Capitol Hill and the White House. He also advised the Under Secretary on the Committee on Foreign Investment in the United States (CFIUS) policy. As a staff member with the U.S. House of Representatives Committee on Financial Services, he directed efforts for the subcommittee on Technology and Trade – supporting oversight on payments, cybersecurity, capital markets, and trade.
At the Federal Reserve Bank of Boston, Mr. Rodriguera served as a Senior Consultant for Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning (AI/ML). As a member of Federal Reserve System AI/ML Working Group Steering Committee, he advised Federal Reserve System leaders on AI/ML securing payments and critical challenges facing banks. As a U.S. Naval officer with the Office of Naval Intelligence on the Joint Chiefs of Staff, he managed a team to bring methodologies and innovative solutions to information technology challenges. He also coordinated threats and intelligence reports on the INDO-PACOM theatre to senior Navy leadership. As a Naval intelligence officer at the Afghanistan Threat Finance Cell in Kabul, Afghanistan, Mr. Rodriguera managed joint intelligence and law enforcement unit reporting and leveraged all source intelligence to integrate into target packages for senior leaders.
Mr. Rodriguera also has rich experience in the private commercial sector. As Chief Strategy Officer for a financial lending platform, he led strategic partnerships and product management while helping to raise $26 million in capital and executing over $2B in deal flows. As a senior advisor and growth officer, he advised the CEO of a tech startup on business strategy and delivered a Series A close of $18mm. As Co-Founder & Chief Operations Officer of Straylight Systems Inc., he designs, builds and executes product and growth strategies for government and commercial customers while overseeing a team of AI developers.
